Modish Matrons: Take a Clue from That Painting

Don't let April Fools fool you! Just listen to what the wise BEATE suggests for our April link-up party - take a clue from that painting, cool and lovely Modish Matrons! What painting you ask? Read on!

Make sure to visit my beautiful co-hostesses TINA and BEATE to draw more ideas and inspiration for Spring themed outfits! Beate is the one who leads our team this month, and she chose the painting by her blogging friend Mano Kellner (you can find Mano's gorgeous artistic blog HERE) who is, apparently, an enthusiastic supporter of our project - so huge cheers to you, dearest Mano! I find the painting that Beate chose very appealing, inspiring and evocative. I think you can come up with so many Spring outfits by just choosing the colors Mano picked!

I came up with a few outfit ideas from my existing wardrobe, but I really needed the sun to show up, and what do you know - in just the last couple of days of March we had such GLORIOUS sunshine, that I wasn't even cold wearing this very lightweight outfit! Wahoo!

I sort of forgot about this cotton blouse that I bought last Spring, but as soon as I saw it (started Spring cleaning in my closet), I though to myself, EUREKA! I found just what I needed! As you can see, the blouse has not just similar to Mano's painting Spring colors, but also has an abstract painting feel to it!

I just added my old green jeans and pink duster for all the flowering trees that are in abundance all around our neighborhood, where Justin and I took a walk for this lighthearted photo session made exclusively for

:)

We'd be so happy and honored if you join our joyful Spring party!
Come on, don't be shy - show off your beauty, girlfriends!

  3. Hello Natalia, I'm Ann and I've often seen your name pop up in Beate's Modish Matrons posts. I love that you emulated the abstractness of Mano's painting with that beautiful blouse! I would never have thought to combine the zingy colours of the blouse and trousers with pale pink, but it really works. You are looking like a vision of Spring. xxx

    1. Hello Ann and thank you so much for introducing yourself! I visited your blog and LOVED it in so many ways! You know, I think that this pink works as a neutral here in this outfit, and maybe not just in this outfit - I suspect it will go with many colors just as well! Now I have to test this theory of course! :)
